June 18, 2025 – Miami Gardens, FL — Florida Memorial University (FMU), South Florida’s only historically Black university, has selected Transportation Solutions & Lighting (TS&L) to lead a campus-wide safety upgrade with state-of-the-art Knightscope Blue Light Emergency Towers and Call Boxes.
This transformative project will replace all existing emergency systems across the university’s campus, significantly enhancing response capabilities and student safety. TS&L will oversee the full deployment, which includes new solar-powered emergency towers equipped with high-visibility lighting, two-way communication, and seamless integration with FMU’s campus security infrastructure. These units are designed to operate reliably 24/7, even in extreme weather conditions, and provide students, faculty, and visitors with immediate access to emergency services at the push of a button.
